Why We Built Bounce

We love to make music with our friends.

The founding team has been writing and recording music with our friends since the 1980s. Yeah, we are kinda old. We prefer “vintage.”

As we moved from analog to digital, we noticed that it became harder and harder to finish projects. We missed some of the limitations of analog. And with so many song and mix variations…

It became almost impossible to keep everything straight.

And, as life happened, we stopped living in the same places. We spread out. But we continued to work together. Meeting up for weekend writing sessions then continuing to work on songs remotely.

But the journey from song to release became harder and harder. And that also meant we weren’t having as much fun.

Music started to feel more like work than play.

So we started building Bounce. A place where we can gather and move songs forward without getting lost in Dropbox and Drive folders and endless text threads.

Our vision for Bounce is to build a collaborative platform for music creators.
